i wish xbmc could display play time with subs in the meanwhile, as for now it can display only one or the other when you choose them with the white trigger. i think the reason to this limitation is that xbmc code sets by design the display of subs and time at the same position.
so the perfect design would be to keep the subs at the bottom screen, while displaying the playing time at the top right of the screen, and at a a small size to not make it too remarkable compared ot the movie. this would let the user to see the left/total time at anytime he wants, while having eyes focused on the movie. if i remember well xbmc allowed to display the time at the upper right corner of the screen.
