My issue is that some videos encoded with AC3 audio outputs staticy and distorted audio. It does not happen on EVERY AC3 encoded file, just some.
I've seen many a post about this and I know it was an issue a few iOS versions ago. I've made the recommended settings changes:
Audio Ouput: 16 bit
Dolby Digital: Yes please
HDMI out for video and audio to my receiver with HDMI passthrough to my TV V.
I also have the DTS and AC3 settings checked in XBMC.
I'm using he default skin, jailbroke with season pass and I'm running iOS 4.3.5 I believe... I think it's the latest.
In all fairness, I haven't tried to play the file from a computer so it's possible that it's just a bad rip.
Is this still a known issue though? Any other settings I can change? Is it possible I just have a bad rip?
I've had no problems whatsoever with DTS audio.
Thanks,
Justin
