which git repository?
#1
Hi all,

From time to time I compile from the git. I note that the download page refers to the repository at github. This is what I have been using more recently. However I note there is also a repository at sourceforge.net. The sourceforge repository appears to have some of the addons which I have been missing from my github clones and pulls.

So which is the official one?

One small question about this. How come not all official xbmc add-ons are located in Github?

Like the IMDB scraper. The latest version is 1.4.3 and it's not on github

Thanks davilla,

The question Machine-sanctum raises is exactly the reason why I asked this. I notice that I am missing the Neon skin fromfrom github (amongst other things) but it seems to appear in the sourceforge repsoitory.

The issue is resolved for the Neon skin as I used the SVN version, but I others such as TVNZ OnDemand do not appear.

https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc contains some default addons. There others are located in the official addons repository. It would be silly for us to try to include all addons in https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc. It would become huge and since it's purpose is the source code repository for XBMC and not XBMC's addons.

Remember, we do change the addons API and as such they are versioned. Only addons of proper versioning will "show up" in the official xbmc addons repository.
