I am in the process of building a HTPC and this parts that i'm buying..

1-ASRock Socket FM2/AMD A75
2-AMD A6-5400K APU 3.6Ghz Processor AD540KOKHJBOX
3-96GB SSD
4-2GB of RAM
5-CASE

My Question is,is these good enough to support DTSHD MA ,TRUE HD and 3D BLURAY PLAYBACK.

IS having XBMC AND WIN7 the only way to bitstream?
Can i use XBMCUbuntu to bitstream HD?

Any suggestion on parts to buy and software used will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes, you will be able to bitstream HD audio with A6-5400K. I'm not familiar with Linux. You can visit my new thread to setup the latest Eden for bitstreamin- Windows How to Bitstreaming using XBMC.........

With the Windows builds then Intel, Nvidia, & ATI are all fine for HD Audio bitstreaming.

However it's a different story with the Linux & Live XBMC builds, as on these only Nvidia graphics will provide HD Audio bitstreaming for the moment. Intel should support HD Audio via it's Linux drivers however there is a bug preventing bitstreaming working for now, until this is fixed TrueHD can be decoded to LPCM and DTS-MA will be decoded via the 5.1 DTS Core track to LPCM. As for ATI, their Linux audio drivers limit audio output to compressed DD/DTS 5.1 & 2 channel LPCM so no hope of any form of HD Audio.

Glad I just read this, was going to buy a new AVR that supports HDMI and HD audio formats etc. But I am running Xbmc v12.1 on Linux Ubuntu 12.10 minimal, using an Intel i3 2130 CPU which has HD 2000 graphics.

If I replacement my current AVR that only does Digital Opitical and DD / DTS with a newer AVR will I be able to bit stream HD audio formats to it?

Thanks
