That looks very good! I've learned a fair amount about interfacing with xbmc while developing my movie poster application. I'm sure it could be extended to run a full fledged secondary display similar to the media portal secondary display plugin. I'm primarily a .net programmer though so it would most likely be a windows only application if I even had the time to develop it.
