MKV prob streaming from windows to Linux
#1
Question
I stream my movies from the windows box, it has xbmc also to my Linux HTPC on xbmc
MKV files do not show up on the Linux HTPC on xbmc.

The windows box is wireless N, and the Linux HTPC is hardwired into the wireless router.
All other movies show up and work fine, but MKV's don't show up.

If someone has a solution to this, I would appreciate it. Cool

Edit: MKV's that are on the hard drive of the Linux HTPC work fine.
Edit2: This is with any distro I run [i386].
XBMC install ppa
Athlon X2 64
2GB RAM
Sapphire 4350 1GB

When you say that MKVs "don't show up" do you mean that they don't play at all, or you can not even access them from the File viewer?

Have you enabled XBMC logging and checked the log file for errors?

Thank you for replying, I cannot access them in the file viewer, I have not enabled the logging.

Edit: Which I will enable the log now to take a look.
