I'm trying to utilize an ATV2/XBMC as an MP3 headunit. I'm controlling it with an android device using an incar wifi network.
everything is setup perfectly, except one thing. The HTTP services I'd use to remote control the device do not seem to work using only a local network. It appears that the webservices do not work properly unless I at least BOOT the device with an active internet connection. My guess is this is due to the NTP process which occurs on boot.
Does anyone have an idea on how to get XBMC HTTP Remote working in this scenario? It is possible to fake the NTP response somehow?
Thank you!
No HTTP remote without internet connection?

You can turn off the auto time setting in frontrow. Just like it says when you boot it without an Internet connection

My device does not show a method to turn off auto time setting as you mention. It displays a message to verify network settings and correct them.
