I would read up on that, they really aren't too keen on mass scrapers. Especially TV Shows being scraped that would never be watched in the first place. I understand what you are saying about "only the first time", but multiply that by a lot of people. Only bring this up because they look to be banning IPs for this type of thing.
I understand what you're saying.

I will disable the options to scrape all TV shows for the time being.

Okies, looks like you got it all covered. Think we just wanted to make sure there wasn't another mishap with a plugin going bananas on their servers again Smile

Again, I'm not trying to come across as negative towards your work. Just trying to be informative as to things to look out for.

My wife and I are in love with this pluggin and it has made using icefilms for us and our kids much much better.
I have one question, I setup our favorite tv shows and then update my library and it downloaded all the clipart with no issues but when I had it do the movies I then go to the movie folder and right click on it and tell it to update and it will not scrape any of the box art? I have tried every setting I can think of and no matter when I do it wont do it for movies?

As I wrote under the heading "Requirements", the current build of XBMC recognizes strm-files as playlists instead of as movies. To be able to get box art for the movies you need to find a build with this patched or compile your own.

I will look into some way of making this easier for people.

This looks very interesting, so much so that I'm trying to compile a build (Windows) for the first time. I'm trying to apply the patch (PlayListFactory.patch) to the source code now using tortoiseGit but I have no clue as to which folder I should be applying it to.
Grateful for any help!

Edit: sorted. I've just started scanning Movies, so will test in the morning.

Hi great plugin. Works really well on my atv2.

I guess any improvements are really basic things to the process of setting up and updating, possibly all that could be simplified but I'm sure you're already trying to do that.

Otherwise a search function, and maybe use the popular or recently released options to make it easier to add content, (not that the alphabetic option is complicated just not that useful for discovering new content).

Thanks for the plugin.

Cool concept!

Batch Wrote:Requirements:
In order to fully utilize the plugin special builds of XBMC is needed to be used.
As discussed in this (link) ticket, .strm files will not be recognized as movies in the current build of XBMC.
To fix this, this patch needs to be applied: http://trac.xbmc.org/attachment/ticket/8...tory.patch

You will most likely need to compile your own version of XBMC.
You could maybe try to get the developers to extend this discussed unified music addon frontend to support adding online videos to XBMC's video library as well instead.
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=105147

That way it be done the same way for movies and music in XBMC's core, and there would no longer be any need for custom solutions for these different addons.

As would I.. Couldn't somebody simply provide a pre-compiled xbmc.exe? All that work just to comment one line of code. Sad As much as I love XBMC, it requires an awful lot of work to get it to do what you want it to sometimes.
