The sounds goes up and down and mutes but does not show up on the sound volume meter right.It shows max all the time.I believe it started with XBMCSetup-20110904-a2098db-master.exe 05-Sep-2011 10:28, but not sure,sorry.

I have this issue too.

latest Git pull and Sept 28th nightly used.

As above, the volume does go up and down when keys or remote are pressed but the graphical volume meter on screen at the top stays on maximum.

it's a known issue - they changed it in recent nightlies. I'll try to get an update out this weekend. Football season and skinning just don't go well together for me.
