[ATV2] xbmc keeps restarting when entering movies mode due to memory issues
#1
I am using Alaska Revisited and ever since I set the view mode to PANEL, every time I enter movies it restarts and I get booted back to the ATV default menu. I can't even get into movies in order to change the view mode to something else. Can someone please show me how I can manually fix this so that I can enter the movies section again to view my movies.

Here's the xbmc.log of the problem.

It happens right when I click on 'Movies', it exits out of xbmc and takes me back to the apple tv's default menu. It was working fine right before I changed the view type to 'Panel'. Sigh, now I have no idea on how to fix this.

Why the heck would he want to do that? XBMC is all about choice and customization.

It could be a bug with Alaska Revisited. I assume you are using the in-development version in order to use it on your ATV2 right now? Might want to give them a poke in that thread at http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=70302 so they are aware of the issue.

I don't know enough under-the-hood stuff for XBMC to know if other things could cause this, like a bad movie file or something, but did you add any new files between when it worked and didn't work? Any new changes of any kind between that time?
