Not sure this is related to the scraper you're using but thetvdb is down for data center work:

As I said, tried different scrapers, it's definitely NOT a scraper/server issue.

Me too i have tried different scrapers as well for movies and tv and they are all doing the same thing. saying (unable to connect to remote server)

Scraper 2.2.5 works just fine here. Please post the entire debug log (using pastebin).

I am experiencing the same problem; I have tried nearly all of the recent builds after the 1st of Sept (not the one from the 13th of Sept, since I am in the office). It recognizes the movie but fail to download the info and fanart. It was working ok until I have upgraded to xbmc-20110831-b7436bd-master-atv2.deb to check out the speed improvement (which was fantastic – million thanks for that). However I would go back to one of the late August release/build to give up a little bit on the speed and just to make the scraper work.
Re vdrfan: I will check the version of the scraper, since I don’t know. However I was also trying out other scrapers with no luck.
Btw: Can I get one of the late August builds, since I can only find versions from September on http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/darwin/atv2/

I was having the same issue while running Confluence skin. Last night I switched to MQ2 and did a library scan without any problems. Not sure why a skin would have this issue but it seems to have gone away.

I have re-done everything from scratch/begining (resotre/jailbreak AppleTV, install official than nightly) and now the scraper works fine.
I haven't tested it but I think the problem was with mine set-up that I have copied over to the AppleTV my backuped libraryDB and fanarts. This might created an access right issue and the scraper was not able to open/write files (because it was definatelly recognising the new content on my NAS)?
