XBMC live 10.10

Using a Geforce G210 over HDMI.

TV is a Bush (Groan) 37 inch, Panel by Beko (Bigger groan) - It was free.

But purposely ignored the bit about menu sounds as I don't want them

After resuming or waking from standby there is a white noise coming out of my speakers untill I play a video or music file. The same noise can sometimes be heard while the PC is POSTing.

Any idea how to stop it?

Have tried to stop this still, have had no luck, anyone got any ideas of where to start looking because I'm lost!

Is there some-way I can get linux to play a sound on resume from sleep? That might fix it.
