[ATV2] Crash upon startup if no network
#1
Using the 1st September nightly and if the ATV2 has no network connection then XBMC refuses to start and crashes. I know that this is a rare case that it won't have network but just thought it would post it to let someone know.

For devs, log is here: http://pastebin.com/KHr6zxMn
Set Up
Raspberry Pi running Raspbmc - XBMC 12.2
40" Samsung ES6800 LED Smart 3D 1080P TV
Onkyo HTS3405 5.1 DD True HD and DTS-HD Surround Sound
ReadyNAS Duo with 4TB (2 x 2TB X-RAID) Western Digital Caviar Green using NFS

there's more it what your title suggests, the default install of xbmc does not care about a network connect. Yours is using an external database.

"ERROR: Unable to open database: xbmc_video [2003](Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.1.42' (65))"

So what should we do here ?

Note that your log also indicates several other errors regarding skin settings.

I did see that, but then if I am on another network at another house where the sql is not available then it will still boot (albeit VERY slowly) and it won't crash.

Yeah I have edited some of the skin myself and it errors a little but everything works so I have just left it. Might not be the best idea but it is chugging along nicely at the moment.

Try to reproduce with default skin and no sql and post log ...
The normal XBMC log IS NOT a debug log, to enable debug logging you must toggle it on under XBMC Settings - System or in advancedsettings.xml. Use XBMC Debug Log Addon to retrieve it.

As requested. Just as note I have updated to the 16th of Sep nightly but the problem still exists. This is now with the standard default skin: http://pastebin.com/jJYBHH6K
