iOS scrapper help

Ive spent the last few days trying different ways to get my apple tv2 to stream videos from mac running lion. I had first set it up using smb sharing and was able to see all my movies and tv shows and the scrapper worked perfectly. Then I tried to play them and it would not work. I found that smb won't work as simply as i had it setup on lion.
I tried streaming using different uPnP servers and that seems to stream videos fine. Right now i have PS3 Media Server and twonky media server and they both work fine. but every time it tries to scrap for movie and tv show info it says:

Unable to connect to remote server
Would you like to continue scanning?

This message appears every time it tries to scan my library. I have tried restoring and reinstalling XBMC several times with pawnage tool/ green poison/ season pass to see if that would reset the problem.

Has anyone run in to this issue?

Background Data:

Platform: Apple TV2
iOS:build 4.3_8f455 4.3(2557)
XBMC: Darwin 11.0, compiled June 23, 2011
Install Method: Jailbreaked with season pass, http://osxdaily.com/2011/01/21/xbmc-for-apple-tv-2/
Debug Log: http://pastebin.com/LYUSnb3F
Anytime i try to rescan for content i get the same error message.

I ran into the same issue last night. If you install the latest nightly build and change your scraper to the imdb one, it will no longer error out on you. However the nightlies are unstable and it crashed twice on me last night.

Heres a how-to on the installing nightlies, scroll down to the nightly section

i think I've gotten a little closer but it still isn't working. I did what you said and when its scanning for new content it doesn't fail and give me an error message but it still hasn't renamed any of my files or displayed posters yet.

Use AFP instead.

Im having the exact same issue. When it asks me if I want to continue scanning, I choose "yes". Sometimes I have to do it a dozen times but eventually the scraper starts to work. Then it fails and I get the "unable to connect ..." error again so I continue to choose "yes".
I have over 400 movies and about the same number of tv shows. It took a very long time to scraper my library this way and still I am missing about 100 movies and half of my tv shows.
Im open to suggestions.

@ned, what is AFP?

Im trying to stay away from nightly builds

I'm using nightly build from 13-09-2011 and TV scraping works fine, but moviedb scraping does not connect.

Weirdly, this worked fine until today...

Changing to the nightlies will do more to fix your problems than using afp. The scraper problem is very bad in the 'stable' release.

OSX lion has problems with smb shares because Apple has mucked about with it. Use aft to avoid the problem. See the first thread in the forum for info about afp.

It has the difficult to understand title:
new AFPClient for iOS/OSX <--SOLUTION FOR LION USERS

You're using one now, it's just months old. There is, and never was, a stable build of XBMC for ATV2. Cydia installs (via the NitoTV menu) are just selected nightly builds. The latest nightlies have tons of bug fixes.
