This update brings lots of enhancements for movie detection and cmdline mode.

Changes:
* Lots of tweaks and improvements for movie detection
* Ignore clutter files like samples/trailers/etc
* Hide "Override Extension" feature (can still be activated for the current session via right-click Rename button)
* Added "series X episode Y" as known SxE pattern
* Cmdline: use TheTVDB and TheMovieDB as default if --db is not set
* Cmdline: --q option in -rename series mode supports "A | B | C" syntax for manually forcing multiple tv shows
* Cmdline: tweaked series auto-selection
* Cmdline: --output in -rename mode is resolved against current working dir (as opposed to --format which is resolved against the folder of the file to be renamed)
* Cmdline: fixed PermGen memory leak that happened when calling rename(...) alot
* DEB: use SVG application icon and setup /usr/bin/filebot via postinst/prerem properly
* Portable: fix bash startup script
* WebStart: don't create webstart desktop shortcut automatically (still can do it manually via Java control panel)
* IPKG: New ipkg packages for embedded devices

Hi, I am using a home made CMD script to run some CLI Filebot commands on my download folder. I find subtitles and move the files in a new structure. However some subtitles are not available when I try to download the files - and some only available in english and not in my native.

I would therefore like to write a new script that looks in my tv-show folder (c:/tv-shows) and go through all sub-folders and lookup subtitles - first in english and then in my native (de). The subtitles should of course be renamed to match the episodes.

My question is basically: is there any CLI function to get filebot to work through all subfolders?

Why not write a script that calls filebot -get-subtitles <folder> on every folder?

With FileBot/Groovy scripting it'll look like this:

There's of course shared scripts for that that'll work out of the box:

I have tried to work with groovy and I don't really get it I am also not a specialist in CLI'ing, but I have gotten it to work That was why I hope I could just point filebot at one folder and then it would work through all of them... but maybe that is the fnuball part?

Yep, that's what the suball script does. filebot -script fnuball is equivalent to filebot -script http://filebot.sourceforge.net/scripts/suball.groovy Just use the cmd from above and point /path/to/media to the root folder of your media to get subtitles for everything.

I like the idea. The interface is clean and easy

However, I keep getting timeouts. I installed Java and tested it, and restarted, plus my firewall is letting filebot through.

I got the 'Duckman' series and started to manually rename it when i remembered seeing this thread, so i installed it.

I start Filebot, select teh Duckman folder, and select TVDB to for renaming. THen it sits there with teh 3 spinnign dots. After 4 minutes or so, it asks for series names for all the folders within the Duckman folder, then the Duckman folder, itself. Then it sits and thinks for 3 more minutes and times out.

This happens with any TV show fodler i select. the same thign ahppens with my laptopand x86/x64 version on both computers. What ports does it try to use? Can i change the ports it uses?

It's all normal http requests. Usually takes 3-4 seconds (and that's me in china with crappy network). Do you need a proxy to connect properly? If wanna check what's happening to those requests you can try and use fiddler debugging proxy. You can set a proxy via java system properties.

Another question

Lookup by hash failed: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: Response indicates error: Client not supported. Contact us at: [email protected]

I get this error - do you know why? I am trying to lookup subtitles with CLI with the following:
call filebot -script fnuball -get-missing-subtitles --lang en -non-strict E:\Server\Movies

I also have the problem, that sometimes the script only copies not cuts the shows from my download folder into my series folder... Do you know why?

and last problem is:
Fetching [xxx.srt]
Failed to download xxx.srt: Not in GZIP format

Why is GZIP stopping me?

1. Sublight integration is dead. They changed the API auth methods so only their subligh app can get access.

2. Not sure, OpenSubtitles? Send me more info on the subtitles that fail to fetch. Keep in mind that OpenSubtitles has a 200 subs per day download limit. I guess that's what's happening.

That's just a temporary TheTVDB API problem.
