Morning,

I finally managed to get the addon installed in openelec, another challenge is the fact to configure an "id" in the addon that is talking to the homewizard device, i found that when you open a browser and you go to "http://yourehomewizarddevice/homewizardpassword/swlist" you get an extensive list of modules configured on the homewizard device, now is my question : When trying to configure device id 01 "what is in my swlist on the homewizard --> device 0 and not 01 !!! " which Device id 01 input do i have to put in there, standard there is an A1 code, but that code is for old klik aan klik uit devices, these new modules work with an 64 bit code string that goes like "00002F040X" Can anyone help me please.

Thnx

The Device ID 01 to 05 in X10-lights are only descriptive and the refere to 5 device's that you can use in the add-on. You can use any adress (default is A1 for device 01). Maybe you should try to use the adress: 00002F040X in the field where now, the A1 is written.
You should als checkout the manual, it has a few example's (for X10 and Homeseer), you can work in a similar way with homewizzard.
If that does not work you should try a few tests with your webbrowser, in the adress bar. To swith on and off a device.
The layout for homewizard is:
Code:
http://<ip>/<password>/sw/<id>/on
http://<ip>/<password>/sw/<id>/off

Where
<ip> = ipadress of your homewizard
<password> = the password to access homewizard
<id> = the device number (so in your case this can be 00002F040X)

If this works, it should also work in the Add-on.
If it does not work I will need additional info on how to access a device via a Web url and adjust the add on.

Although someone mentioned using the script, x10cmdr.sh, with the binary, heyu, for GNU/Linux, will it work with this add-on? I assume this add-on looks for the name of a MS Windows binary, correct? What is that name? Under GNU/Linux, heyu is installed and then a script called x10cmdr.sh runs heyu. Melloware indicates that this process is the GNU/Linux equivalent to their version for MS Windows. However, rough equivalency doesn't mean that this add-on will necessarily work with XBMC running on GNU/Linux.

No the add-on does not use library names. It uses http request to ip-adresses of the domotica service. Therefore it should not matter if the software is on linux or windows. Check the manual for some more details.

SERVER: 1000 X10Commander Server
MOBILE: GET /?x10command=DEVICE~sendplc~E1%20ON HTTP/1.1
SERVER: ERR~Passwords Do Not Match!

Does one need to specify the user in the URL? If not, how is that procedure accomplished in GNU/Linux for a URL to be pasted into any WWW browser?

x10cmdr.sh operates just fine as both root and a user on my machine from the command line. From the command line, I FIRST must manually specify either PASSWORD~password123 or password~password123 to get either the IPHONE or ANDROID functionality. Otherwise I get MOBILE functionality and x10cmdr.sh doesn't work, i.e. I receive the dreaded error, "ERR~Passwords Do Not Match!", even while attempting to run x10cmdr.sh from the command line.

I want to add support for mochad over linux to this. If I do this will you support the changes? I have something working on my own, but it's all backend, I like that yours has a gui and would like to expand on it.

Yes this is possible, if mochad supports commands via HTTP.
So if you can for example switch on a light via your webbrowser, by putting in a text line in the address box, it should be possible.

If you can give some examples for ON/OFF/DIM/BRIGHT I can add support in the add-On

Hi,

I have tried everything to get xbmc to interact with my homewizard :

What i tried is via http://homewizard/passwordofhomewizard:p...ber/swlist to get my id's for the devices i have.

With these id's it should work with you're addon, but it doesnt, can you help me out or give me more info what to troubleshoot to give you pointers to get the addon working with the homewizard.

Thnx in advance,

Dave

Shoop_nl,

Thanks for creating this.

Has anybody tried this with openremote yet?

I plan on installing openremote with mochad (CM15a) on my unraid server. I'd like to use this add-on to control the lights when I play, pause, stop, etc...

looks like Openremote uses HTTP based commands. I'll know more, once I receive my CM15a.

It doesn't. You'd use nc or telnet to connect with it, whatever type of connection that is... socket? However I have a one liner PHP script that passes an HTTP POST or GET to the Mocha daemon. There's also a supplied PERL script on their site.

Check out this WIKI link containing their command list. http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/mo...=Main_Page
