Well, I'm also signing to the list of people who want support for mControl. If you make it, I wouldn't mind donating to this project.

Hi there,

I've used this addon as a starting point to write a new addon that send modbus TCP query to a domotic controller using same event structure and config screens as X10 - light does.

After struggling a little with python (to which I'm totally new) it finally works for me.

As PLC approach to domotics is different from X10 (centralized vs distributed) maybe it's a good idea to produce a separate addon with modbus.

I added support for HomeGenie but only for x10 devices.

Shoop_NL, thank you for this great Add-on. It was much easier to modify this than start from scratch, I hope you don't mind. Sorry for the odd versioning, I didn't want to use 1.0.2 and potentially cause conflicts.

Hi,

I can't seem to find where you keep your code, or maybe I just missed it? I would like to submit (pull request etc) my patch for getting Domoticz dimmers to work.

Hi Telefunken,

There is no repository for the software, were you can add patches.
Last time I recieved an update via dropbox and added this to the software.
Maybe you can send me the updated version and I Will add it.

Hi Telefunken (Andreas),
In the mean while I have added the Domoticz dimmer functionality to the add-On and released it.
You can find it in release V1.0.3.

Hi,

Looks good, will try it out tonight!

I would however ask you to consider putting your code on github or similar service, because it makes collaboration so much easier.

Thanks as ever - still have this in use at home. Rock solid.

Would you consider making an add-on for LightwaveRF automation devices? Or adding LightwaveRF functionality to this addon?
They have an API and there devices are cheaper and look a lot better than x10.

Hi Double T,

I Will consider it, for that I first have to request the API documentation.
After I recieved this I can figure out if it is possible to communicate via the API.

So it Will take Some time, but I keep you informed.
