Hey guys!

I have a generic MCE remote that has a toggle to switch between mouse and keyboard. Everything works absolutely fine except that the remote, by default, loads up in Mouse mode. Is there any way I can force it to start up in keyboard? I know it's only a button press to switch but it'd make my life slightly easier!

Do you happen to know the manufacturer and model of this remote? In theory,
at least, there will be an FCC-approval sticker containing enough information to
locate this information.

Alternately, Logitech's Harmony R/C's -- I have the 700 -- can be configured as
both an MCE keyboard and an MCE remote at the same time.

XBMC can't control your remote. Unless the manufacturer of the remote provides some way of configuring the remote I don't know of any way to fix this.
