Have a question on IMDB. As you may know, IMDB.com is not accessible in China given government restrictions (blocked in the same way as Facebook and other sites are). This also makes the IMDB not functional and scraping through EMM or others impossible.
However, the IMDB ipad app works brilliantly well from China. I can access all information through it including top-250, individual movie and actor information, and about anything else that the app has to offer...
Anyone has any idea how the web interface / API is treated differently from the ipad app. In other words, how does the app gets around the China Firewall?
