I have been pricing some new systems but am not sure if the amd apu or intel i3 graphics are fully supported by linux yet or you still need a Nvidia gpu.
Do either do dxva (or whatever linux calls it) on ubuntu or live?

Thats what I thought. One day we will be able to use tiny mITX systems on xbmc live or openelec (with decent performance unlike atom). Until then I will stay windows.
Thanks for the help!

Intel is out. They don't have decent Windows drivers anymore.
AMD is almost there. It has come a long way. It is not easy yet in XBMC Live (like "Just Works" Nvidia-style), but if you put in the effort it will play your files. My only holdup is the lack of the equivalent of VDPAU Color Correction.
