Bad news for the Apple TV 3

Seems that jailbreaking will be very difficult. I honsetly believe Apple did this because of XBMC. It's a problem for there payed-service, and they don't want people to pay 100 dollars for a device where they won't pay for any content (which is where they will take the most of their profits).

Irony: Apple's least expensive iOS device (yesterday's new AppleTV3,1) will likely be the most secure of the bunch

And which ones haven't been cracked?

Thethered jailbreak, for sure. Unthethered will be a problem. Took a while before the original A5 processor was finally jailbroken. Seems the A5X they use in the new iPad is a much easier case, since they already jailbroke it (fully). Why on earth did they make this single-core A5 so secure, and didn't use the same security in the new iPad's processor?

Ah well, eventually there'll be a hole somewhere. But don't expect it anytime soon.

Doesn't the ATV3 has an A5 CPU? Maybe the holes aren't in the CPU but in content of the OS.
