I would think that a site like the pirate bay, with such a large amount of traffic, would not run their site off of Apple TV 2's. It would make much more sense to use actual server hardware.
Perhaps a few thousand of them networked together might work.

oh my .i only asked because as you may have gathered im a newbie . and on one of my repos i just put on there was pirate bay an utorrent . . not knowing any thing . i just asked how

The Pirate Bay is just a search site for torrents. Depending on the add-on, there's no reason why it shouldn't work on the ATV2. Transmission is one such add-on that will work, either with another computer with Transmission installed, or even with an iOS ported version (yes, one does exist).
Which add-on are you trying to use?
