Newbie Asrock Ion help needed - stuttering playback
#1
I've got an Asrock ION HT, just over a year old. I recently had to do a fresh Windows install due to a HDD failure and now I've re-installed everything I can't get HD movies - especially 1080p - to play smoothly. They used to before the reinstall.

I'm sure the answers are on this forum somewhere, but I've just spent over half an hour searching so I thought I'd just ask.

I've re-installed CoreAVC which I had before, though I don't even know if I need it with XBMC.

I have installed all the latest NVidia drivers, but playback in XBMC is still really stuttery in HD.

I'm sure there is a setting for GPU accleration in XBMC, but I haven't been able to sort it yet, thogh I have ticked the DXVA2 button.

tick DXVA2 button is what u need,,,
after that, make sure that in your BIOS,
the shared memory for your video chipset is set to 512MB

can look a bit different here, but it may still help you
