That's not what he said.

I'm not running xcode, just a clean install of IOS 5 GM.

No need to read between the lines is there? As davilla said, "atv2 does not have an iOS 5 jailbreak".

Once there's an atv2 jailbreak for iOS5, then the XBMC devs can work out any issues on iOS5. The only obstacle is time... let's all try to show them our gratitude by being patient.

What exactly will be the enhancements for the AT2 in iOS5 to make it worth going through it all again?

That does not in any way resemble what I said.

Then post your xbmc.log and crashreporter logs. You MUST give to get. No logs, no soups. I've said that a thousand time.

That's from the nightly on the 8th. I can do the latest nightly, or the last stable if need be.

The only advantage of ios 5 on ATV2 would be AirPlay mirroring which Ive been waiting for a loooong time

But as long as ios 5 isn't out publicly they won't say a thing I guess Wink

Who wouldn't love to have XBMC and mirror an iPad 2 on the same hardware...

Can someone humour me and explain to a non-expert what the discussion is about? I thought that ATV2 is not effected by ios5, so mirroring is a pure bonus is you have an ipad2 and atv2?
