avoiding standby s3 while audio signal from soundcard line-in

Hello!

Following situation: the audio-out of my TV is connected with my media-server (Ubuntu Natty) through the soundcard line-in. If the cpu is idle, the media-server goes into standby S3 and the sound from my TV is off.

How can I teach the media-server, NOT to go into standby while an audio signal is active on soundcard line-in?

Who has an idea? And: the answer "Deactivate Standby" is not an option Wink
