I know Just Scan isn't available when using 1024x768 what I'm asking is are you sure that your screen is still using overscan when set to 16.9 and receiving 1024x768

As I said previously if you want xbmc to adjust refresh rate to match fps you don't have a choice which resolution you use as your screen only supports all needed refresh rates at 1920x1080 none of the others support 24Hz

XBMC only switches refresh rate not resolution so it needs to be set to 1920x1080 if you want 24Hz playback

Anyway enough from me on this subject Laugh
Current HTPC Lian-Li PC-C37 • Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H • Intel C2D E8400 E0 Stepping • OCZ Vertex SSD • 4GB Corsair TwinX XMS2 DDR2 • Corsair HX650W Modular PSU (Free Upgrade) • LG CH08LS10 Blu-Ray Drive • Scythe Big Shuriken • Acousti DustPROOF 70mm Fan

This is what I found strange when I was previously running at 1024. It WOULD go black and switch resolutions between the OSD and movies, although I know its not *meant* to do that.

Absolutely. This thread is done and dusted.
