Background: I stream everything via SMB shares, mainly to use a central mysql database. I also use advancedsettings.xml for path substitution for thumbnails/fanart, also an smb share.

When I go into the Movies via library mode or files mode I can basically count to about 15 seconds and it will crash because it runs out of memory (i believe).

Anything I can do to prevent this?

Do you have updates blocked? Are you running FireCore's ATVFlash (black)? A few things it could be: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBM...Q#Crashing

I do have updates blocked. I have not fixed it, but I have found a workaround. I disabled the option to pull metadata for each movie.
