Hello all, I am trying to find away to play the ecrypted premium channels with hdhomerun prime xbmc and some backend using windows 7. The only thing that I have found to play the media was windows media center. I am still working it out in WMC, but is there another way we can use xbmc? Maybe a WMC pvr backend?
Sorry I am new to the whole pvr scene.

Nope. Windows Media Center is the only thing that will play the cable company's DRM encoded channels.

Really? I assumed that once you put the CableCard in there, it would work just like the regular HD Homeruns. I'm running a couple of the "normal" HD Homeruns and was thinking of upgrading to the Prime and put in a cable card.
Guess I'll need to stick with the Newsgroups...
