Sorry, the up/down volume change still happens sometimes after a wakeup from sleep. Havent seen a pattern to it yet.
Anyway the most annoying thing is solved with iTunesPatch, iTunes is prevented from starting.
Apple remote starts both XBMC and iTunes after 10.7.2 update
