Hey all,

I had to wipe my xbmc server and restart from scratch (2 days so far!) and got almost everything working except audio over hdmi.

I have done everything I can to try to get it to work again.

I am using an NVIDIA GeForce 210 graphics card. I have installed the latest graphics drivers, and the latest alsa stuff too. All running on ubuntu 10.04LTS.

I have followed: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...,_or_GT240 among others to try and get it working.

For some reason, on grub, there is no audio/sound options on the administration list of programs. Please some one help me! I need it as basic as possible.................

well, after 6 hours of doing it, then after 5 mins of trying, i found a post which helped on some far distant website (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1505880) where i could individually test each nvidia audio device. Seems on /etc/asound.conf it should be pcm "hw:0,7" for me! IT WORKS!!!
