Disclaimer: Yes, I know it's a nightly, if this is a known bug, then apologies.
So I installed the latest nightly, via the method here, and it's been running fine up 'till tonight.
previously was using the ppa:team-xbmc/unstable repo, but apparently that has a broken build as of recent, so I switched to the ppa:mario-sitz/ppa repo.
upon rebooting, it wouldn't start, investivation showed it was a mysql error.
Tried purging xbmc, installing latest nightly from scratch, and it works fine, but as soon as I had the mysql database settings into advancedsettings.xml, that's where it breaks.

the "xbmc" user has all privlages on % for the sql server install.
Edit: bah, if someone can move this to the xbmc for linux forum, that'd be great.
