"ugly" is by definition a relative term. Meaning that what's ugly to you may be poetry for me.
perfect...and i don't disagree this assessment at all. i thought it might shed the light on others with my point of view about the box.

regarding the DeLorean DMC-12, i bought and sold one of those. i enjoy it for a while before i sold it.

Damn You MrWhite! I'm in the process of building mine right now! I'm actually painting the case, kind of bring it a little up to date with my entertainment set up but still keeping the retro aspect of the NES.

I chose the NES case route simply as a conversation piece... Nostalgia if you will.

The NES idea is awesome. If anything somebody will look at it and say. "You really play your movies from that?" Laugh

i thought about painting it as well, since clean/non-yellowed busted NES's are getting kinda rare, but figured i'd just mess it up painting, so i left the patina of the original case alone. Just a quick run through the dishwasher to remove 25 years worth of grime.

This is great! I love the old console. I still use mine from time to time. Still works like a charm. Ahh the memories.

Very nice build. Although, I probably wouldn't have used the sheet metal back and instead dremel'd my own outlets.
