I was just wondering why xbmc doesnt have an update (for stable and nightlies) and rollback function on the atv2. Kinda like how nitotv works.

There are no stable releases of XBMC for iOS/ATV2 yet. Nightlies are manual because they're unstable and you might not always want to update to them every day. Soon we'll have a stable release of XBMC v11 (Eden) and the majority of people here won't have to update for months if not longer at a time.

Ok but why not have something to update the nightlies. Would make it easier and a rollback would also make sense like xbmc is doing with addons.

We don't have, nor will we add an auto update the nightlies.
Users click anything and this would just fill the forums with useless info when nightlies are more on the bleeding edge. Right now they are pretty stable as we have moved into release mode with respect to trunk development. Later on they might become quite unstable.
