I was looking for feedback on XBMC on the Mac Mini PPC. I know it will not support HD, but I am curious how it is for SD content including DVDs.

Is it better to run Linux and will XBMC run on Linux PPC? My guess is that it probably is far more responsive on linux than Mac OSX. Are there dependency issues on Ubuntu 10.10 PPC, or is Ubuntu 10.10PPC viable for this?

On Mac OSX how do you remote control it? I mean I know there are probably Lirc (or Mirc?) packages for Mac, but Is there built in Apple Remote functionality like on newer Minis?

How is your responsiveness if you have this set up? Please include CPU speed OS and Memory.
