Not sure what's causing it, it's a brand new AppleTV running 4.3, jailbroken with seasonpass.

As far as I know, upnp does not work with library mode properly as the file urls to the upnp server are dynamic. Not sure why it is bombing but I would try using a different protocol to access your sources.

If you want to find out why it is crashing you will need to provide a crashdump and syslog as well for one of the devs to look at.

I figured that's what it would be. Unfortunately, SMB is so much slower in terms of streaming. It constantly buffers and lags, and there isn't much I can do about it. I have been using XBMC since my first modded xbox, and it's a shame that I am having so many issues with getting it to work!

You can still use ftp or nfs if you are looking for something faster.

Generally the problems with buffering are either due to networking or content that the atv2 has to decode in software.

I can play 720p h264 over wireless using smb from my weak-ass pch-a110.
If you try to play hd xvid/divx, or mpeg2 content there are going to be problems.
