[DEAL - Canada] 32 GB Patriot Torqx 2 SSD, SATA II - $45

$45 with MIR (only valid at Memory Express) and expires Oct 31

It's "only" SATA II (not III) so it's "slower" than the latest and greatest. But in my humble opinion SATA II is still screaming fast!

I am now in the process of building my HTPC, just bought this guy and the speed is awesome, it boots in seconds... It will still take me a few more days to tweak and integrate the box in my home network, but looks promising ... Cool

if you check utube vidz on win7 boot times,
the Torqx2 is just as fast as the crucial m4...

Well, right after the OS was installed (Linux Mint 11) I ran some speed tests on the drive and they were right up to specifications. So I guess I can be happy as long as it proves reliable in the long run Wink

You Canadians got the deal this time: hehe

I'm looking for a SSD deal myself, didn't think I'd notice the boot times on my new server, but it's driving me nuts. There's been tons of OCZ deals, but I'm not going there again.
