2nd built xbmc live install need recommendation

this is my first post
here are my first built specs :
mobo : POV D510 micro atx
vga : nvidia 8400gs with hdmi output
ram : 2GB corsair value select ddr2
hdd : wd 500GB sata green

my first built play 1080p movie stutter in some some scenes ...
and some addon like webforum hung everytime i click on it
but i dont care, just reset the computer and now i just use it for to play movies and nothing else.

and now, i need recommendation for my 2nd built xbmc live install.

I have spare computer parts to build which are :
procie : c2d e6300 with zalman 7000 alcu cpns
mobo : foxconn g31mx-k (intel G31 chipset)
ram : corsair xms2 ddr2 1GB x 2 kit
hdd : wd 500gb sata2

i'm looking for video cards but still confused; whether to pick sapphire ati 6450 1gb fanless or nvidia gt430 1gb with fan.

this is mainly for watching movies as well, but i want to have a htpc with most of the feature useable: download torrents, play some emulators games, etc. and i will try silent it as much as i can

i have read some of threads in here ... also eskro's

i need input from u guys whether i should go with new hardware or use those spares and buy new video card

ur valueable opinion (good and bad) greatly appreciated

and get gt430 1gb

any addition / recommendation / pitfalls that i should wary bout ??
