[RELEASE] SecurityTube (Video Plugin) Addon
#1
Thumbs Up
Hi Community,

this is my first addon I release. It adds Support for the site http://www.securitytube.net, a site that offers training videos, demos and talks of conferences around the topic security and hacking. It's realy an awesome site.

Original request was made some years ago (here) and I was interested in it. I am a web-developer and love XBMC. So I wrote it (hope the python code doesn't suck too much, I didn't write anything before in Python).

Alpha Release
Download: plugin.video.securitytube.zip
video coverage: about 95%

I currently do not support all of the videos because securitytube has lots of other streaming-provider embedded-players included. So i concentrated on the most used. current release supports: vimeo, youtube, google, blip.tv

Currently I release this addon for testing and improving so any response is welcome and in case of a crash please post the relevant log-lines.

Would be nice if you are finished testing the plugin you would provide me with feedback and platform secs you tested on. like mine I provided above.

I like this plugin, because its easy to install (install addon via zip package).
The parsing speed seems quite good, when I compare it with other addons that parse movie links.
Oh and some logo icon would be nice to have to see which addon I'm currently viewing on my pluginlist.

All in all a very promising start since I got no errormessages so far.
