I've already got an Acer Revo 3600 and I would like to replace two original xbox's but not with Acer Revo's which are quite expensive but with something low cost. Just looking at the alternatives.

Wait for the "XBMC for Android" with an Android box or buy a Raspberry Pi

Is there any way to get Wi-Fi working on that thing? Model B seems to have a network adapter, but no wireless support...
Nevertheless, this sounds like a good device. Although I'd rather buy an Android Mini PC, even though they are more expensive. |

For WiFi you're probably going to need a USB WiFi adapter.

I probably won't reckon the usb wifi on Raspi for XBMC simply because the board is not powerful enough to drive both of them. I tried the tiny Edimax EW-7811Un. My Raspbmc partially works on wifii. maybe the usb dongle driver use more precious resource, some xbmc addons failed while they work fine with wired connection.
The solution works for me is to wire Raspi to a DD-WRT router on client bridge mode. |
