If you browse around their forum, there's a thread where one of the moderators confirms that some XBMC devs have had prototype boards since at least early September and that they have screenshots of it running (though they haven't released them at request of the XBMC devs.) They even went so far as to say, if everything works out right, we might see XBMC launch alongside the Raspberry Pi in December... which would be awesome.

I would imagine that an XBMC dev who wrote the drivers for the Broadcom CrystalHD cards would have enough experience and access to code for this Broadcom BCM2835 SoC.

Looks very promising.
Gigabit ethernet and PoE would be nice though |

Yeah, no GbE kinda sucks. PoE I can live without, but isn't GbE required for full-bitrate bluray streaming?

Cool, wishful thinking on my part but maybe this could be the first step towards an XBMC set top box.
Aren't the Roku's powered by the same chip, if it were possible find out who manufactures it for them and maybe they could also produce an XBMC Box, Pulse Eight could sell the XBMC Box with their remote. |

@Starstream, i had the same thought when i read this tread
![]() But if it's possible to have a smooth running xbmc on this device, why not sell the device itself too? It might be a nice way for XBMC to make a little bit of money. just a thought

I highly doubt this will even come close to a smooth XBMC experience, just look at the Apple TV2, it packs an ARM Cortex A8 CPU, much more powerfull than the ARM11 in this little gadget, and still has issues with heavier skins like Aeon MQ3/Nox Or Xperience1080p, as a couple of examples.
