I have 0.24 MythBuntu backend, and Xbmc 10.1 running on my Windows Vista Machine. From what I understand, MythBox is the only current way to access my backend recordings (aside from using an SMB share).

I've installed the MythBox add-in, but I can't run it. There is no scripts button on my home page, and nothing in the skin settings that says "hide scripts". I've tried this with any number of skins (I typically use project mayhem, but I wanted to see if it was a skin issue) including the standard confluence, and no luck.

How do I run mythbox?

did you install the addon? if so if you disable your library function within your video tab, you should see a thing called video addons. then within that, you should see mythbox, just run it.

otherwise you could just use the myth:// protocol by adding a source to your videos page again without the library function enabled.
