i am using a WDTV live right now for streaming mostly mkv (h.264 1080p, AC3/DTS 5.1, subtitles). As a server i use a synology DS-211+ running the serviio DLNA-Server. Everything wired with GBit-LAN.
Everything run perfectly fine - but no XBMC.
Now i want the look&feel of XBMC and i am looking for a suitable new streaming client: small, not too expensive (max. 300-350€
and no problems at all with my movies. No stuttering, frame drops etc. pp.
No ODD needed. Should have IR-Receiver build in. I´d like to use LIVE or OpenELEC - maybe via Flash-drive?
Maybe a Xstreamer Ultra - good? no good? One of those Zboxes - but which one? Maybe an Mini-ITX DIY box - but what components do i need?
Please give me some hints & recommendations.
