Turn off "sync playback to display", this is the first time I've ever seen that segfault though, very strange.
Maybe you got triple buffering on in xorg.conf?

Can you upload the generated crashlog instead?
Btw you can have sync playback to display on, or triple buffering, but not both, triple buffering is useless for xbmc anyway so I'd turn that off.

Thanks, it helped me avoid crash!
But after disabling VAAPI there is no sound and the frame rate is low by HD videos. There is no error in the log.
What should I use instead of VAAPI (or instead of xvba-va-driver)? Maybe hardware acceleration is needed for my PC to run videos smoothly. Before I've upgraded Ubuntu (and turned acceleration off) everything was fine.
My PC: MSI motherboard (E350IA-E45) with integrated processor and video.
Edit:
I've removed xvba-va-driver and I've tried to enable/disable VAAPI and VDPAU with the following result:
Both are disable:
No error message in the log but the frame rate is really low (just like in the other cases).
Both are enabled or VDPAU is enabled (VAAPI is disabled):
vdp_device = 0xffffffff vdp_st = 0x00000001
(VDPAU) unable to init VDPAU - vdp_st = 0x1. Falling back.
CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Failed to get VDPAU device
(VDPAU) Close
VDPAU is disabled (VAAPI is enabled):
VAAPI - attempting to open codec 28 with profile 100 at level 41 with 4 reference frames
VAAPI - initialize version 0.33
VAAPI - unable to initialize display -1 - unknown libva error

There is no working hw acceleration for fglrx driver, cause AMD closed source deparment never implemented it properly. Use xbmcbuntu v13 and see.
But open a new thread. No need to highjack plain old threads.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
