I have Kodi installed on Fedora 21: kodi-14.2-1.fc21.x86_64
I am really enjoying it a lot!
The one thing I am doing on a frequent basis is manually changing resolution which is not an easy process. The key changes I make are switching between 1080p, 720p, and 480p. I currently do this via xrandr. I am very familiar with how to change the resolution via the GUI settings interface and xrandr.
I need these resolutions specifically to allow my scaler to work. I don't want scaling to be performed on my computer when I have a dedicated scaler the clearly provides better results.
Can the resolution be automatically changed based upon the content I am playing (which is typically 1080p, 720p, 480p)?
If not automatically then is there an easy to change resolution? Can I change resolution with the remote (via my Android phone)? Can I set-up a hot-key? What are my options?
I searched the forums on this and only found one similar request (http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...p+and+480p) with no response.
