Please accept my apologies if these questions are too noobish for the forum!

I have downloaded the Foundation Skin and also the the articles on the Wiki regarding skinning, however I am still confused. I have basic knowledge of XML and couldn't even manage to set a custom background.

I did read through the Foundation thread and followed the instructions on there but it didn't work.

So, any tips? Ideally I would love to create something very basic and concentrate more on creating the textures/images, rather than the skin coding.

I think you're really going to have to be more specific as to what you want to accomplish and what isn't clear to you.

Also try having a look at Confluence. It is also pretty basic and you have a great example on how to get things done.
