There is a few testresults in this forum that indicates a 90W should be enough. Or 120W to be safe... 160W sounds like overkill Big Grin

CPU uses 65W max, a laptop harddrive usually doesn't use more than 5W max Wink

Okay so if we say 120w on the safe side!
Now can I just take out my stock PSU or un-hook from my MTX003B case and use a PicoPSU or am i better buying something like the ISK100 case? will I be able to fit my CPU cooler (scythe kozuti) in ?

You can just remove your intern PSU, and fit a picoPSU and powerbrick....
Personally I would find a silent PSU to fit inside your Case (if you like your case), as you would get a hole on the case where the PSU was located. And if you leave the PSU in the case unplugged to avoid this, you would end up with too many wires in your case.

Well I don't know the ISK100 Case or the height of your CPU cooler Big Grin So I can't tell Big Grin

silence come's at a price.

get a picoPSU in there and get a 3rd party CPU cooler.

you need 58mm clearance for the SCYTHE big shuriken v2.

which u should have if u get a picoPSU

Already got the Scythe Kozuti installed so will leave that in seem very quiet to me but will look at the PicoPSU route

Can I use my old laptop 90w brick (LITEON PA-1900-04)

Output = 19V -- 4.74A
Input = 100 - 240v ~ 50 - 60hz 1.5A

with this

PicoPSU 90w Power Supply Mini ITX EPIA VIA Pico PSU

ps. sticking with my MTX003B case
