wow, what a discussion is growing here again. all because of me...
Since I am waiting for a A8-3820 which is only consumig 65W I would imagine that my 125W brick should do.
bluray you said that the A8-3820 also needs more power than the A6-3500 because of the more powerful GPU. I am aware of that.
But honestly if beer40 is running his A6-3500 65W with a 65W (or 90W sometime) brick with no issues I don't think that a 125W would not work in my case with the A8-3820.
Mabe it's another issue when using the A8-3850 (100W) with a 135W (since 125W brick already doesn't work with it) I agree with bluray at this point. No matter what some tests say. The test say that it would but it doen not. That's a fact now.
Apart from that... the ISK300-65 is the case I would like to go with since I already have it. And I didn't see any other case I like for a reasonable price. bluray the link you posted from the other guy. I don't really get it there could I use this 160W "PICOPSU-160-XT" inside my ISK300-65 to extend the power of the native 65W brick to up to 160W? Or how does that work? Can someone explain?
Well, I will have to wait until the A8-3520 is here to continue with my XBMC-baby.

If the physical dimension is the same, you can simply remove the 300-65 PSU from the case and replace it with Pico 160W.......Pico should have similar wiring as 300-65......

Even apple to apple, it still different in many ways. In this case- mITX to mITX, it still different in many ways too........

This Pico thing looks very promising. And it's even available here where I live.

If the cpu is 65w try the stock 65w brick..... if it gives you trouble then you can just buy a 90w brick......
why make it so complicated and buy a pico.....

I am running the 65w stock brick no problems at all..... even with stress tests....

actually bluray gave me the info... I wouldn't say it's wrong. It's just another solution.

I really think the 65W stock brick will not run the A8-3820 with more powerful GPU (6550) even if it's a 65W CPU... I believe bluray when he says that it will consume more energy than your A6-3500 because of the better GPU.
And since I have to buy a new brick anyway I can go with Pico in the first place since it is not more expensive than a 120W brick here in Switzerland.

So now I want to be on the save side. Also if I attach a blu-ray drive someday in the future which will consumer more energy too...
