Remote help
#1
Hi,

I am still new to xmbc so have little knowledge about it. My brother has just set up XBMC live 10.1 on a Asrock ion 330 for me. There is no other operating system on the Asrock so when I switch it on it goes straight into xbmc and all seems to work really well.

The asrock does not have a built in IR but I want to add a remote to the system. I have a Asrock remote control and IR receiver which came with the Asrock vision 3D and I thought that by plugging the IR receiver into the unit it would allow me to use the remote but this isn't the case.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

As always any help is appreciated.

Ask in the Linux/Live forum http://forum.xbmc.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=52

I think the Asrock remote is an eHome/RC remote, and in XBMCLive uses LIRC and should work out of the box, though there could be more than one model of Asrock remote.
