I dont know what has happened but all of a sudden I am now presented with windows type lists of my movies and tv shows instead of the fanart. How do I change back?

Open the tab on the left and change viewtype to the desired One...make Sure library mode is activated

What Confluence are you using? If you're using my mod, there is a kiosk-mode to prevent these changes...
