So I picked up a Blackberry Playbook at the new $199 price tag. I don't want to wait until android is supported in February. I am planning on giving my parents and ATV2 and would love if their Playbook was capable of controlling it with the Android Remote App. Love the remote app it is probably my favourite App on my phone.
I am trying to convert it myself using the Blackberry online developer converter but and having issues.
Does anyone have the .bar files. Or can the remote team resubmit the app to the Blackberry market.

I have not tried this one. I really would prefer the official XBMC remote on the android marketplace.

I took the .apk and used the blackberry apk2bar tools and was able to sideload the app onto a Playbook 2.0 beta device and have it working with my xbmc box. It works quite well -- the only thing I don't really have working yet is the remote control itself. But I can browse my content and start playback of anything. Seeking works too.
Maybe it's the event server or something that is not working properly on my xbmc box itself which is why I can't use the remote control. Not sure yet.

Hello, there is a XBMC_Remote_v0.8.7-r4_signed.bar on the web that works great on Playbook.
